PRAXIS I & II    GMAT    GRE    LSAT    MAT    MCAT    PCAT

The Praxis Series tests are taken by individuals entering the teaching profession as part of the certification process required by many states and professional licensing organizations.

The Praxis I (or PPST) measures basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics. In addition to licensure, these tests are often used to qualify candidates for entry into a teacher education program. See more here.

The Praxis II subject assessments measure subject-specific content knowledge, as well as general and subject-specific teaching skills, that you need for beginning teaching. See more here.

For particular state requirements for teacher licensure, see the Educational Testing Service's (ETS) state requirements page.
