The Praxis Series tests are taken by individuals entering the teaching profession as part of the certification process required by many states and professional licensing organizations. 

The Praxis Core measures basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics. In addition to licensure, these tests are often used to qualify candidates for entry into a teacher education program. See more here.
